Overview of School Development Plan 2026-2029
Every year, a new School Development Plan is written by staff and Governors. This outlines the key priorities for improvement for the year based upon our continued processes of self-assessment.
This is shared with all staff at the start of every academic year.
A high level summary is published annually alongside a review of the progress made against the priorities for the previous academic year.
Year 1: 2026- 2027 | Priority |
1 | Develop systems and teaching strategies that empower learners to apply their skills effectively in authentic contexts across the curriculum |
2 | Facilitate continuous improvement in Welsh spoken language across all aspects of school life |
3 | Strengthen self-evaluation and improvement planning |
4 | Foster active, collaborative partnerships with families and empower them to actively support their child’s educational journey |
Year 2: 2027-2028 | Priority |
1 | Improve authentic opportunities for learners to further develop and apply digital skills and computational thinking |
2 | Further develop visibility and audibility of Welsh within the school |
3 | Embed breadth of experience and progression in application of numeracy skills |
4 | Continue to grow leadership through coaching and mentoring |
Year 3: 2028/2029 | Priority |
1 | Further develop breadth and application of literacy across the curriculum |
2 | Develop pupils’ reading and writing skills in Welsh |
3 | Refine assessment practices to secure improved learner outcomes |
4 | Secure effective leadership at all levels |
