Breakfast Club opens every morning during term time. There are two Breakfast Club options:
1. Childcare and free breakfast at a cost of £1 per day per pupil. Pupils registered for childcare and breakfast must be dropped off between 8.00 and 8.30am.
2. Breakfast only. Pupils registered for breakfast only must arrive between 8.30 and 8.35am. This allows time for pupils to eat breakfast before the start of the school day.
All of our children receive a free breakfast and may choose two options from a selection of cereal, wholemeal toast, crumpets, fruit and yoghurts. A selection of juices or water are also available.
The Breakfast Club is run by Mrs Jill Spary, our school cook and caretaker. There are always three other staff members to supervise the children. Mrs Louise Trigg, Miss Jessica Taylor and Mrs Karen Geen are the assistant supervisors and all have other roles within the school.
Breakfast Club is limited to 60 places each day and parents can select the days they wish to use the facility and the type of breakfast club arrangement. We currently have a waiting list for some of the days and ask ALL parents to ensure they access the club regularly. We ask parents to pay for Breakfast Club in advance and this is accessed using your child's Parent Pay account. We are unable to 'hold'places at Breakfast Club and if a pupil has not attended over a four week period, their place will be offered to a pupil on the waiting list.
Every pupil must to be registered at our Breakfast Club and forms must be completed and signed to ensure we have up to date contact details and information about dietary requirements and medical needs.
A register of attendance is taken every morning and ALL parents must come and sign their child into the club.
Before the start of the school day, all pupils are taken outside to the school yard and are fully supervised by Breakfast Club staff until the duty teacher arrives. For our youngest pupils, our designated staff member walks the pupils to the Foundation Phase playground at 8.50am and ensures every child is received by their class teacher.
