Eco Committee

Here are the members of our Eco Committee who are passionate about our environment and helping secure our planet's future.

Celebrating Sir David Attenborough's 100 Birthday

We made a human 100 that could be photographed from the sky to celebrate the 100th birthday of Sir David Attenborough.

Help Us to Bloom and Grow

Our latest idea is to ask families for donations of spring bulbs, so we can plant areas in our school which will blossom in the spring time and fill our grounds with colour.

Watch this space to see how this grows!

Eco School

We were awarded our Platinum Flag in summer 2024. This amazing accolade verifies the school's ongoing commitment to environmental issues and care for our world and environment.

Our Eco-Committee meet regularly to review actions and to ensure all pupils are informed of important issues and events.

Circular Economy

As part of our ongoing promotion of eco matters, we fully support the efforts being made to support a 'circular economy' whihc means trying to make use of things once they have been used for a first time.

A Library of Things

Benthyg (pronounced ben-thig) is a Welsh word meaning borrow or lend.   The aim of a library of things is to allow people to borrow things they need but don't own, at low cost, saving money and space in their homes.  There are a range of DIY and garden tools, household appliances, camping equipment, entertaining equipment and more.

You can also donate things they own but don't need, contributing to national waste reduction targets and meet to share knowledge and skills with each other, increasing community resilience .
