The PTFA run a Preloved Uniform service, covering almost all items of school clothing, including PE kit, and other items such as book bags, PE bags, and plimsoles.  Although primarily run as a service to parents and the environment, rather than as a fund-raiser, this service can still generate funds for the school and saves parents money at the same time. 

All clothing items are available at the price of only £1-£5 each, other items are priced individually.  This means that you can buy several school outfits without it costing a fortune and so that you don’t have to worry about them getting their uniform dirty during the week or having to do additional loads of washing to ensure they always have a clean uniform to hand!

The uniform we are selling has been checked carefully to ensure it is in good, clean condition and some items are brand new!

ORDERING

Please send a request to Lisa via Messenger on the Preloved Facebook Page or via email at osbasptfa@yahoo.co.uk to let us know what you would be interested in ordering.  Should there be a specific item you would like we can arrange for the item/s to be picked up at the school gate at pick up time, sent home with your child, or can be collected via the School Office.  Should there be items that you wish to view, we can arrange to meet at the school gate / infant playground at pick up time.   All requests will usually take place within 48 hours of your message being received and confirmation will be sent via Messenger or email.

We will also display items during some of our fund-raising events, where items can be purchased directly - we accept cash, contactless card and apple and google pay.

Ordering for parents of new starters

If you know of anyone whose children are due to start Osbaston Church in Wales School next school year, please help to make them aware of the Preloved Uniform service.  We have some age 3-4 items that are used but in very good condition.

Orders can generally be picked up and paid for at the school or from a member of the PTFA on a pre-arranged day, or collected at the new parents’ intake meeting, coffee morning or pupil transition days.  Just specify the preferred collection method and timing when ordering.

PAYMENT

Each item of clothing ordered is £1-£5, other items are priced individually.  If you are collecting the uniform directly from a member of the PTFA, please either pay in advance via BACS or on collection with cash or card.  If the order is to be sent home or collected from the School Office, please send your payment in a sealed envelope for your child to hand into the School Office (clearly marked “PTFA Preloved Uniform”, containing the money and your name).

RETURNS

Should the uniform be the incorrect size or not required, please hand any returns directly to The School Office, in a bag clearly marked “PTFA Preloved Uniform Return”, enclosing your name and your money will be refunded.

UNIFORM DONATIONS

The service cannot survive without uniform donations.  If you have any good, clean uniform that you would be happy to donate, we would gratefully have it.  We are always on the lookout for all NEW school logo items of clothing (polo shirts, jumpers, cardigans and fleeces), as well as book bags, PE bags etc.  Donations should be handed in at the School Office marked clearly for the attention of PTFA Preloved Uniform donations.  Please ensure all clothing items are laundered and try to remove name labels prior to donating.  We are not accepting non logo’d polo shirts.  Polo shirts are cheap to buy new, so rather than keep packing and unpacking these, and having to store them in between, please save these donations for our next Rags to Riches request.

Lost Property:  School do not have the space to keep lost property for long periods of time so towards the end of each term, any un-named, uncollected lost property will be removed, washed, ironed and added to the PTFA Preloved Uniform stock.  

VOLUNTEERS

Can you help?  The PTFA always need extra parents to help with the Preloved Uniform process in particular the receiving of donations and dealing with lost property.  This would include taking garments home to de-tag, wash and iron as needed.  We also need helpers on the day of the Preloved Uniform sales, 30 minutes or as much/little as you can spare goes a long way in helping to set up, serve and clear away so please offer to help if you can.  Support of parents is vital if the Preloved Uniform fundraising is to continue.
