We are holding our annual Open Morning for parents and carers of prospective Reception starters in September 2027. Please come along to the Lower School building on Friday 6th November.

You will be able to meet Mrs Jones our Head teacher, Mrs Baggott our Reception Class teacher and see the school in operation.

Our value for the new half term is TRUST

Trust means feeling safe, knowing someone is reliable and honest, and believing that people will do what they say they will do. 

Trust involves feeling emotionally and physically safe, knowing you are free to ask questions, or make mistakes without fear of being judged or rejected.

We can exemplify trust by:

• Keeping your word: Doing what you say you will do.

• Being honest: Telling the truth instead of hiding it.

• Feeling safe: Knowing a friend or family member will not try to hurt or trick you.

• Relying on things: Believing an object (like a sturdy chair) will work the way it is supposed to.

Facts about trust:

• Earned, not given: Trust is built over time through kindness and positive actions.

• Easy to lose: If you break a promise or lie, trust can vanish in a single moment.

• A two-way street: To have trusted friends, you also have to be trustworthy yourself.

In the Bible, we are told, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

This tells us that trusting God means knowing He loves you and holds you close, just like a parent holds your hand when you cross the street. Trusting God is like walking with the best guide who knows the safest and best way to go.
