Online Safety
Being online is part of children and young people's lives. Social media, online games, websites and apps can be accessed through computers, laptops, mobile phones and tablets. We know these are a part of all children's lives.
The interent and online technology provides lots of exciting opportunities to learn, explore and have fun, but we need to ensure children know how to be safe online.

Lower School Pupils- Staying Safe Online Rules
This is how we stay safe online:
- I will only use activities or platforms that a teacher or another adult from school has told or allowed me to use.
- I will take care of the computer and other equipment.
- I will ask for help from a teacher or another adult from the school if I am not sure what to do.
- I will try to learn my passwords and know how to keep them safe.
- I will tell a teacher or another adult from the school if I see something that upsets me on the screen using ‘Zip it, Block it, Flag it’
- I know that if I break the rules I might not be allowed to use a computer/ i-Pad.

Upper School Pupils- Staying Safe Online Rules
This is how we stay safe online:
- I will ask a teacher or another adult from the school if I want to use a digital deice.
- I will only use learning platforms that a teacher or another adult from the school has told or allowed me to use.
- I will take care of ICT equipment and reconnect it to the charging stations.
- I will ask for help from a teacher or another adult from the school if I am not sure what to do or if I think I hae done something wrong.
- I will use the ‘Zip it, Block it, Flag it’ code if I see anything that upsets me or makes me feel uncomfortable online.
- I will act in a responsible and kind manner when I am online ensuring I only log in to my own accounts.
- I know that if I break the rules I might not be allowed to use a computer/tablet.
